Before I start blabbing away, whaddya think about the new header and theme??? Personally, I love the change.
Speaking of change, my life has just hit it’s climax. For those of you who don’t know, the climax is like the most exciting part of a movie or storyline.
My Climax Day
I did this musical at school. I never mentioned it before because I didn’t know I was in it either. A day before the play the girl playing the lead, Belle, was sick. Then, the understudy didn’t show up for the rehearsal before the play. The director went around the school looking for volunteers to learn her part. Suddenly, my hand was in the air. My best friend S* raised my hand for me. Next thing I knew the director was chatting my ear off about how surprised and grateful he was that I had volunteered. I wanted to scream, “I DIDN’T VOLUNTEER, IDIOT. S* RAISED MY HAND!” But he just looked soo desperate. And I made the smartest mistake I have ever made in my life. That day I learned all my lines over and over and over again. It was a lot of work and for most of my classes I sprinted into the bathroom and read through the script. At lunch, I consulted the rest of the Beauty and the Beast cast to rehearse the songs. They all gushed about how great my voice was but I knew they were only saying that because I saved the show. When it was time for Call (the start of the play) I took another sip out of my Evian water bottle and wiped the sweat off my forehead. I sang and danced like I’ve never done in my life. I couldn’t believe it! Being on stage gave me such an amazing feeling. It was like I was flying through my lines. Every time I earned a laugh or an aww from the audience my cheeks flushed with pride. Here comes the climax! The director for the new movie, “Nothing Without You”, came up to me after the show asking if I would like to audition. I quickly said yes! I was handed tons of forms and now I realize there’s a lot more to it than just saying yes. I have to join the “Actor’s Guild” if I want to have a speaking part which costs a lot of money (I’m not gonna say how much) and have to pick at most two parts to audition for. The reason for that is because the director and the other “judges” don’t want to have to choose from too many people. Especially if they’re good, which they should be since they were asked to audition.
OMG, sorry for rambling!
Getting to the point…
I’m gonna go for it! I picked the two characters that were recommended for me based on my character and performance in the play. I’m auditioning for Melanie, the quiet goth girls who listens to her iPod like 24/7 and the bubbly cheerleader, Elle. Both of them are pretty small parts but I’m just excited that I’m actually gonna be auditioning for a REAL HOLLYWOOD movie!
And what if I actually get the part????
So about the Actors Guild thing. I’m asking all of my family to pitch in and I’m joining two part time jobs to earn some money before the audition. And if I don’t get in it doesn’t matter because then I’ll have some extra cash.
Wish me luck, the audition is on January 17th.
Here are my audition scenes for both parts:
Ruby: You know what? I don’t care what those girls think. Because you’re right, Sara, if they don’t like me for who I really am why should I want to be their friend?
Sara: Woo hoo!(Sara fist pumps) I’m just glad you finally realized that.
Melanie: You don’t need Isabel anymore!
Ruby: OMG, you’re actually talking, Melanie!
Melanie: This is supposed to be your big moment not mine.
Sara: I think we should celebrate both of your accomplishments. (smiling)
Melanie: If you guys don’t shut up I’m gonna stop talking. For good.
(Sara, Melanie, and Ruby all laugh)
That’s the end scene. Isn’t it beautiful??? Haha.
Here is the scene including Elle:
Elle: Nat, maybe you want to join us! We’re going to this awesome night club. It’s called (Elle whispers something in her ear)
(Natalie giggles)
Elle: Isn’t that your boyfriend, over there? (chomping on gum)
Natalie nods.
Elle: Hey T.J. there’s this cool club a lot of people are going to tonight, including your girlfriend, Natalie. Wanna come along?
T.J.: Sure, but only because Natalie’s going.
Elle: Great! I’ll text you the details!
Ruby: Oh, isn’t that the place we used to go with Isabel.
(Elle and Jasmine cringe at the name)
Jasmine: Um, yeah.
Ruby: Sorry if it seems like I’m kind of inviting myself but we usually go everywhere together. Can I come?
(Elle and Jasmine glance at each other)
Elle: Um, sorry but we kinda already invited a lot of people and we don’t have room in the limo for that many people.
Jasmine: Plus, those glasses would be weird to wear to a night club, right.
Ruby: Yeah, I guess. (dissapointed)
Jasmine and Elle: Sorry.
Jasmine: We really have to go, sixth period starts in one minute.
What do you think about the movie???
It’s about this girl who’s best friend Isabel dies and Ruby discovers that the only reason people liked her is because she was best friend’s with Isabel, the most popular girl at Jackson High School. The girls on the cheer squad “forget” to invite her to the cheer squad party and then kick her off the team for no reason whatsoever. Then, just when things seem bad, Melanie, Sara, and Kailey accept Ruby into their circle of friendship.
If it sounds interesting keep an eye out for it. It’s set to come out in theaters next year.
Yeah, it’ll be a while.
Oh, and I bet you’re wondering how the heck this is possible. I live in LA. SURPRISE! I guess it’s okay to reveal where I live.
